Lynette Oates weaves journal entries and interviews together to retell the experiences of Des and Jenny Oatridge living and working amongst the Binumarien tribe of Papua New Guinea. The Binumarien people faced certain extinction due largely to warfare, but it was the coming of Scripture in their own tongue that turned things around. Hidden People tells the story of how a people found a reason for living, and a culture was revived from the brink of extinction.
