Literacy
Communities that speak minority languages are often marginalised and have a disproportionate percentage of non-literate people.
We work with our partners, including other non-profits, governments and local communities to set up programs in literacy. We teach people to read in their language or languages, but more importantly, we train local people to become teachers in their own language.

Jesus answered, ‘It is written: “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”’
God works powerfully through His Word. People often become followers of Jesus simply as a result of reading the Bible for themselves.
Jesus instructed His disciples to “go and make disciples of all the nations … teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you” (Matthew 28:19–20, NLT).
When people can read, or know someone who can read to them, the written Word of God becomes invaluable to their spiritual growth as individuals and churches.
