Get Involved by Praying
“… pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.“
Ephesians 6:18
Prayer changes the world. Bible translation and related ministries are God’s work and we want to be listening to Him and reflecting His heart of love for the people we serve.
You can make a difference around the world by praying right here in New Zealand. Here are three ways to be involved in supporting the work of Bible Translation through prayer:
-
There are Wycliffe prayer groups throughout New Zealand who meet regularly to share and pray for the needs of Wycliffe. Leaders of these prayer groups receive regular prayer and praise information to keep them up to date with the work of members. If you would like further information on the location of these groups, or how to go about forming one, please contact us.
-
Prayer launched the work of Bible translation and continues to move it forward. Each month we publish ‘Prayer Matters’, a set of monthly prayer notes from our members around the world. Contact us to subscribe to our monthly Prayer Matters publication.
-
You can make a vital ongoing contribution to the ministry of Bible translation by joining the prayer support team for one of our Wycliffe member/s. You will receive periodic letters with news, prayer and praise information from that team to help you pray more effectively and may well have the opportunity to meet them when they are next home in New Zealand. Contact us to learn more about partnering with a specific team.
